Thanks for the report, which version of Ubuntu are you running? Does it works fine with another new user created on your system? Thanks.

Pedro,

So I am running Karmic Koala and after reading your response I went ahead and created another user. I logged in and I get the same error gnome-system-monitor fails to load.

If there is anyway I can get more details when trying to run gnome-system-monitor from command as it stands when
I enter
% gnome-system-monitor --> Hit Enter
It pauses and but terminal does show details until it gives me the "Bus Error"

Any help is appreciated.

I am going to have to ask this to be closed unless someone else can recreate it as I upgraded to Lucid and the problem is no longer present. Sorry to do that my apologies.
