The E-mail message don't show when I dubbel click on the message it did so in the earlier version. Is it a bug?

I use Ubuntu 9.1 and I want the E-mail to show when I dubbleclick on it.
Now I have to open it in a new window, very uncovenient.

the first tab is normal email tree view
2nd is the email showing this bug
3rd and 4th are the ones i opened by double clicking them i tried 2 to show it happens on different types of email (threaded and unthreaded)

Hello Kjell,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2010 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 540451

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
