Bug Description

When Bazaar Explorer is ran from a menu launcher (bzr explorer) it always fails to allow gpg to sign commits. However if I run bzr explorer from a terminal window it pops up a pinentry window as expected which allows me to input my password and then sign the commit.

I am running Kubuntu 9.10 and Bazaar Explorer 1.0.0 along with QBzr 0.18.1, bzrlib 2.0.2, PyQt 4.7 and Python 2.6.4. I have tested with both gpg and gpg2. I would be happy to provide any further information required to fix this.

I also run kubuntu 9.10 and have experienced similar behaviour of bzr Explorer. However, rightly or wrongly, I have attributed that to the possible glitch in KDE 4.x.

My workaround is to simply use CLI and bzr without Explorer. This workaround is similar to yours.

OldAl.

I have simlar problem on ubuntu lucid... that event don't have seahorse-agent (gpg-agent) installed by default, but bazaar explorer can't use that after I installed it (and relogined)

This is problem in bzr itself, and how bzr interacts with gpg. Unfortunately without fixing it in bzr first we can't do anything at bzr-explorer (and qbzr) level.
