Bug Description

Binary package hint: xchat

See https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2945422&group_id=239&atid=100239

Python XChat scripts that make use of xchat.get_list() or ContextObject.get_list() in XChat 2.8.6 create memory leaks of many kilobytes per call due to a lack of reference count maintenance in the Module_xchat_get_list function.

Attached is a patch submitted to the original SourceForge artifact to fix this bug. I have done testing with the supplied XChat Python script.
