Bug Description

Binary package hint: cheese

Hello,
lsusb shows: Bus 004 Device 011: ID 04fc:504a Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd Aiptek Mini PenCam 1.3

gstreamer and cheese does not accept this cam - i thought it worked in a former ubuntu release.
Due I do not really know if this is a module or kernel or udev or something problem, I beg you to send this issue to the people knowing what this may be.

I tried with an ps3 cam - and this one worked in both tools.

Please can you try to get this work again ? Or have I do something special to maybe get this to work ?

Greetings, B.Schreiber

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Since you mention having the same problem with gstreamer as well, not a cheese bug..
Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 539751

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance!
