Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
the installation hangs at 90% saying 'linux-
alternate installer (daily from March 12th and from March 16th), amd64, manual partitioning on a LVM system
I also had major problems with this package on another installation (alpha 3 plus updates)
I hope this get solved before the beta comes out on Thursday

I suspect you'll find it's just very slow; this is a known regression that we're discussing with dpkg upstream. You can use ext3 as a workaround.
