repeating tasks disappear before being checked off

Latest Astrid on stock Droid 2.0.1. All repeating tasks are created in RTM. A number of them are weekly tasks that are set to be due on a specific day, i.e. every Saturday.

In Astrid when one of these tasks comes due it shows as overdue UNTIL the next sync. After a sync the current instance is gone and only next week's instance is in the list.

In RTM when a task comes due it gets duplicated, the instance due today at the top of the list and the next future instance farther down. If I don't do it today it continues to show up on RTM's list as overdue (hi-lighted) until I check it off.

Tasks disappearing of their own accord is not acceptable. It should work like and keep in sync with RTM.

Note, tasks set to repeat after x number of days seem to be OK.

Bug # 491675 from December appears to be the same issue and is still in New status. The oldest "New" bug was entered in November. I don't get a good feeling when problem reports are ignored for months, especially if it's a problem that affects me. As it is Astrid is basically useless for me since I can't depend on repeating tasks showing up.
