The Awesome 3.4.4 package is now in Debian squeeze(testing).

There are bug fixes, as described in the changes logs:
http://awesome.naquadah.org/changelogs/short/v3.4.4

So hopefully the package can be synced with the Debian package before the release is finished.

Benjamin Drung, and what should I do? The only thing that wiki states is that I should subscribe "ubuntu-release" and set bug state to "new". That's what I'm going to do now but I'm not sure it's correct.

Hi,

what testing have you done?
can you attach a build log for lucid please? (the PPA seems to contain only a karmic build)

(please set back to new once you've done so)

Thanks,
   Stefan.

And about testing: I'm using this version of awesome on both my laptop and my home computer.

StefanPotyra (sistpoty) wrote :

yes, but we can only build packages for lucid using the actual lucid. Maybe you can upload another version to your PPA that will get built for lucid?

Eeeehh.. I haven't PPA's and I'm not sure I'll manage, but I'll try to.

ah, sorry, thought it was your PPA. pbuilder log or sbuild log would be ok as well.

It's May. Awesome 3.4.5 was released today. Is it possible to roll-up awesome 3.4.5 as a bugfix/enhancement or somesuch for Lucid? It fixes a rather nasty double-free bug (http://awesome.naquadah.org/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=734).
