Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

Most apps / services that have a presence in the system-tray have been nicely adapted to the new themes, for example, Transmission. The Tomboy icon is much louder than the others now though and I think that adapting it would be important for the new look to be cohesive.

How about simply desaturating the existing icon? Here is a screen shot of what it would look like. The Tomboy icon is the leftmost icon in my screen shot.

Note: Only the 24x24 icon is attached. If this solution is accepted it would be easy to change the rest of the icons too. I'll even volunteer to do it :).

Process is simple:
1. Open icon in Gimp
2. Click "Color" -> "Hue-Saturation"
3. Adjust Saturation slider to -100
4. Click Ok, then save file.

Changed in light-themes (Ubuntu):

It's a sure improvement, but it doesn't belong with the theme unfortunately. A redesign would be required, like with Transmission.

1) It's 3D, the others are flat
2) It's pictorial, where the others are iconic
3) It has a color palette (albeit greyscale), the others are monochrome.

Thanks for confirming!

This is not exactly a duplicate of #531533. But fixing #531533 to make Tomboy use "tomboy-panel" as it's icon name will cause the Light icon theme to pick up the monochromatic icon from the Humanity theme.

If you would like to see the icon it can be found here: /usr/share/icons/Humanity/apps/24/tomboy-panel.svg

This icon is a redesign and it seems to satisfy 1,2 & 3 from above.
