Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Recent daily releases of Lucid, starting around the Alpha 3 release, I am unable to connect to a Samba share via the GUI / Nautilus method.

The initial screen seems to work properly, I fill in:

server
share
user
domain

and click "connect".

What should come next is a password dialog, with radio buttons for how long the password should be remembered for. No further dialog comes up.

I see processes in "ps aux" which appear to be stuck processes, suggesting the program is thinking about asking the password question, just never does.

This is a show-stopper of a bug!

An update within the last 24 hours seems to have fixed this on my Lucid machine.

Working on it. My main Lucid VM session somehow lost the NIC driver. I was thinking to pull down an updated daily in order to properly retest. I will start the pull now of the ISO... "no fooling".

Oh wow... the window controls are back to the top/right corner where they should be. Wow! Wow! Wow! :-) Thank you, Ubuntu!

And yes, this Samba connection via the GUI interface issue is confirmed resolved. Thank you for getting this nasty trouble taken care of.
