Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

hey all,

after checking a bug reported in Ubuntu-IL forums, i noticed there's a common problem with hibernating, specifically with gnome-power-manager. Tested on more than one type of PC (from laptop to netbook) the computer indicates the low battery, yet even though the configuration is correct, it doesn't hibernate, but simply continues to work, and when the battery is completely empty, it shuts down like a desktop computer getting unplugged.

The user reported tried using Kpowersave, and found out it works much better, controlling the configuration without issues..

cheers
