no periods assigned bug

When I try to access the journal of any of the two sections in our pilot deployement (schooltool-2009 @ 1.0.3) I was told

"
No periods have been assigned in timetables of this section.
Timetables assigned for this section: term-2010.daf-pm
You can manage timetables for this section here: Timetables
"

However yesterday the same link worked and led me to the journal. The only thing I did today is to change manager's password and added a new timetable that is not used yet by any section. No other user should have accessed the system.

The glossary said something of "period" which I didn't find useful in solving this. [1]

I wished to try solve this problem by reschedule the sections, but I realized if I do so I will create a few scores of duplicated events, and the old events holds valuable lesson descriptions that must be copy-pasted back one by one after duplicates are removed, which would be a lot of work, yet it may not solve the problem.
