Bug Description

Binary package hint: gvfs

Sansa Fuze 8GB MP3 player in MSC mode. dmesg shows that device has been recognised by system but does not automount nor appear in Rhythmbox. Interestingly when MicroSD is placed in mp3 player and hotplugged the SD card is identified and is mounted.

Hope this helps.

I have a similar issue happening with the Sansa Clip+. dmesg shows the device being picked up, fdisk -l shows no partition table. I have tried both USB modes. The Sansa Clip+ is shown in Computer view but clicking on it does nothing and it isn't listed anywhere else. I have formatted and reset the device numerous times.

This seems to be the same problem as #532237, marking as duplicate but will carry over the gvfs affects.
