Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

not sure this is firefox problem, but it occurred 4 times and always in firefox. screen goes black, I can't switch to different tty. after pressing "Power" button, notebook shuts down after approx. 1 minute - seems like after gnome 60s countdown.
but last hang it didn't shutdown, I had to press and hold "Power". Of course filesystem had errors, fsck exit code 4, not able to start to recovery mode (fsck), SystemRescueCD... filesystem if now repaired.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug without some more information. Please run the following command in a terminal:

apport-collect 537292

This will automatically add information about your system to this report so we can more easily determine the cause of this bug. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for running apport-collect, but it seems that something did not work properly. Did you encounter any errors when you ran the command?

yes, apport collected information but crashed after I clicked "Send Report". I tried second time but result is same. another dialog appeas, asking me to report crash of apport, but this is also not working, error dialog appears telling me "can't connect to problem database, problem with internet connection" - something like that.

I'm sorry that you had trouble with apport before. Thankfully, there have been some updates to apport since you last tried. Would you mind running the command again to see if it will work? Thanks in advance!

hi, today, same crash happened in chrome, now I think, there is some problem with flash (o yes, flash is big 'problem' ;-) ) it was by scrolling on page http://hackedgadgets.com/

Thanks for running apport and for adding the new information. Can you confirm whether or not this problem only occurs when there is Flash on a page?
