Bug Description

Hello,

I have installed smtpclient module in openerp and now from openerp web client i am trying to configure my email account.

I have entered all the connection related information in "Administration >> Configuration >> Email Servers >> SMTP Server" and now when i am trying to send verification code its doing nothing and after some time i am getting "Connection Timed out" message. Why is so?

Please kindly help me to solve this bug and configure my email account in OpenERP.

Hello Deven Moga,

       This error can be caused if you have not specified whether to use ssl, authentication. I found out another way where this problem can be caused and that is when we login to the smtp server.

       Here I have attached a solution that solves the problem of login. Check it with the attached patch and let us notify if you still get the error.
