Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

I have to hit enter when starting UNE to get to the login screen.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start UNE on a Dell Mini9
2. Hear login music
3. See blinking cursor against black background with a working mouse pointer
4. Click Enter key
5. Hear login music
6. System displays login screen
7. Can login to UNE

It seems to me to be related to plymouth issue. Can you try to uninstall it and try again please?

it seems similar to the well known vt conflict between plymouth and xorg leading to xorg crashing on first enter use. do you see gdm if you switch to vt1 and then vt7? can you try if you get the issue is plymouth is not installed?

Didier - I've installed UNE twice already (Alpha 3 and March 10 daily) and I saw it both times.
