apt-get dist-upgrade

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-26-386

System does not power down, power button needs to be pushed to turn power off on system.

Under linux-image-2.6.12-9-386 the system turned it self off totally no need to push power button

The last messages on screen are as follows.

[ 383.316517] Shutdown : hda
[ 384.783062] Power down.

from here I need to push the power button on laptop and prior to
dist-upgrade this was not required.

My problem seems to have been corrected. The only thing that I did
since the laptop stopped powering down and report the bug, was a some
software gnome apps thru apt-get and now everything is working.
