I couldn´t upgrade the system. The courier package is failuring.

A hack, I know, but "chown daemon /var/run/courier" fixes this. Is this correct, or does it create other problems?

Note that this is related to bug #731505 , but, I believe, not the same since that one is about /var/run/courier/authdaemon and this one is about /var/run/courier

Hi, we are still hitting this bug installing courier-ldap package on Xenial using apt command. The easiest workaround (as noted above) is to "sudo chown daemon:daemon /var/run/courier" before installing package.
