Bug Description

I have downloaded the Live CD image from today's daily Lucid 10.04 build (3/9/2010) for AMD64 and created a Live CD (DVD-RW, DVD+RW), and a live USB disk. None of these will boot on my desktop computer HP Pavillon a6430f. They do boot on my Compaq CQ60-615DX laptop computer. The boot sequence goes to the "Install package (as superuser)" screen. I then select "Try Ubuntu 10.04" and I get the Ubuntu startup sound, and then nothing. The system seems to be rebooting or retrying, but nothing happens. As mentioned, on my labtop, everything works as expected. Except for the fact that I was unable to write this bug report from the Lucid system - it said the linux image was not a genuie Ubuntu package. That is why I am wrting this bug report from Ubuyntu 9.10. Obviously, there is something about my desktop computer that Lucid currently does not agree with. I thought it was important to report this problem. Since Lucid will not boot, I am unable to collect any data.

I successfully booted on a USB disk with a Live CD image made on 3/10/2010. So whatever caused the failure on 3/9/2010 has been resolved.

As booting with a new image works, I have marked this bug as invalid.
