Bug Description

Today I upgraded the ssh client and loging in on the ssh-askpass-gnome package no longer works. It seems to reject the password every time.
It works using the terminal, remmina and the using the ssh-askpass

My connection options which worked today (and still work using the terminal and ssh-askpass) are:
ssh -c arcfour,blowfish-cbc -X -f -o 'Compression=no' -L XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX <email address hidden>

Thanks in advance

Looks like a regression in the merge to 1:5.3p1-3

I'm afraid I was unable to reproduce this, so we're probably doing something different. Could you please describe exactly how you're starting ssh?

I mean, you gave me the options - I'm more interested in whether you're starting it from a terminal, Places -> Connect to Server..., whether this message actually appears when you run ssh-add, or what.

Also, are you using the real ssh-agent, or some inferior substitute (e.g. gnome-keyring-daemon)?

Hi thanks for taking the time to test this.

I am starting it as part of a script to tunnel a nx session through a firewall -L XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:XXXXX.

The commands are actually irrelevant for the bug as all I need to do to reproduce this is type alt+F2 then:
ssh <email address hidden>

The gui does not accept my password (I have tried many times with the correct one).
If I replace ssh-askpass-gnome with ssh-askpass it works fine.
If I run the command from the terminal it works fine.

"Also, are you using the real ssh-agent, or some inferior substitute (e.g. gnome-keyring-daemon)?"
I have openssh clientside and the serverside is a firewall if this is what you mean....

I just did a fresh install in a another machine, and I tried to connect this machine to a server running Hardy Heroin. Same story works on ssh-askpass and the terminal. It does not work on ssh-askpass-gnome. Please advise on what I can do to try to correct this problem as I have 10 users who are about to auto-upgrade to Lucid soon from Hardy.

This seems to have been fixed and I am marking it as such. Thanks.
