firefox tooltips are inconsistent

in firefox, the tool tips are shown with square corners and no transparency. everywhere else they are round corners with transparency.
This is affecting Ubuntu 12.04

It's also happening in ubuntu 10.10 and firefox 3.6.11 and thunderbird 3.1.5 with the new radiance theme. in chromium for example it works fine...

The chromium devs have put in a lot of work to make sure that it plays nicely with GTK themes. They also had to do extra work to fix a bunch of issues with the light themes (see bug #573691 as an example), so that's why it works so well :)

Yes it does. This bug is still valid for Firefox 4 final and also for LibreOffice (tooltips have shadows too).

This really depends on the different theming implementations of the various GUI toolkits used by the applications mentioned in this bug: XUL (Firefox/Thunderbird), OOo/LibO's own toolkit, GTK+2 and GTK+3, Qt... So there is very little to do in light-themes to try to solve all the inconsistencies between apps.
