Bug Description

Trying to install Lucid in a fresh VirtualBox VM. Has always worked until today. Will install fine when running from the Alpha 3 ISO, but if you click the "Update this Installer", the installer process gets as far as the click "Install" to start installing and then crashes, aborts the installer, and drops back to the LiveCD desktop. Running the LiveCD installer from there produces the same results. If you don't "update" then it installs fine. This has only started being a problem as I checked it today (8 March) so presumably is related to an update. Previously, clicking "update this installer" has worked and subsequently installed successfully.

Tried to report this via the crash report, but cannot as it says that not all upgrades have been applied.

Install options: UK/GB locality and keyboard layout. Username "lucid", password "lucid". Selected "require my password to login", but also fails if selecting "automatically login" so don't think this is related. Selected to wipe entire disk.

This bug is not longer reproducible as of today so I cannot include the requested log files. However, instead the installer is hanging at 99% when "updating installer". I will report as a separate bug since it is not directly related.
