Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
07 March 2010
Lucid Alpha3
When using Nautilus in List View,
Nautilus window hangs while gathering sub-folder information
Until all sub-folder info is obtained:
- User unable to advance further down folder tree
- User unable to goto parent folder
For folders whose contents stays fairly static, this only happens once
(sub-dir info cached?)
but if you have sub-folders that change regularly, this UI hang is quite annoying
I don't remember this happening with Karmic
Would it be possible for the info to be obtained asynchronously, and not hang the nautilus window?
