Bug Description
Hey - Sure hope to get some help Since I upgraded to the kernel version I do not seem to be able to get recognition of th CD-ROM. From anywhere with any app. Boot messages show driver loaded - it does not appear in places as a line item. Does appear in Computer although it will not recogonize a CD or DVD mounted. Brasero does not see the CD nor does k3b. I searched all sorts of forums and no matter what I try - zilch

Applicable to kernel ubnutu 9.10 2.6.31-20-generic. Can only go back via GRUB to vmlinuz- 2.6.24- 16-generic and still fails. Fails via packages and command line cdrecord. Driver found during boot.
