Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
The Dvorak layout I chose at install-time works fine on the Gnome desktop. My keys are also labelled as such. But I was left in a situation were the desktop became unusable and I wanted to access a TTY to issue a halt command. The TTY took my keyboard to be QWERTY and I couldn't log in.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Install Lucid A3, choosing Dvorak as the keyboard layout at install time.
2) Reboot and log in.
3) Switch to a TTY and try to log in, keeping with the Dvorak layout convention.
Actual Results:
- Incorrect characters displayed. Password entry not possible without a QWERTY legend.
Expected Results:
- Correct key readings allowing successful login.
