how can i write a file/Doucment into CD/DVD using DocumentManagement system available in OpenERP?

Its would be useful to have an easy way to write a file/Doucment to CD/DVD using DocumentManagement system available in OpenERP.

Copy/Paster your files from the DMS (via FTP) and push them in a DVD.

But what i prefer is that there should be an option in the OpenERP Document Management system like in other DMS,in such a way that the user should be able to do the copying into CD/DVD using a Button(like Write into CD Button)

There is some hooks in the 5.2 API for such a thing. Not really impemented,
though, but planned.

I think this would be a usefull feature.
For example in France, to be allowed to "dematerialize" invoice archiving (ie. not keep a paper copy of each invoice) you have to have a WORM copy of the invoices (write once, read many). In most commercial solutions, this is done by burning CDs or DVDs.
So I think this bug should be marked "wishlist" instead of invalid.

I'm disagree, how do you want to manage the CD Burner ? Do you have an API on Linux (cdrecord, etc...) and Windows (Win32,MFC,COM) component ?

If you want to burn a DVD with some datas from Linux, you can use this command

1. wget -r ftp://login:password@hostname:port/database/path/to/files | mkisofs | cdrecord
