Bug Description

Binary package hint: vino

The English translation of vino-preferences window has an option called "Configure network automatically to accept connections". It is not at all clear what this means. The tooltip says something about UPnP on the router. I know what UPnP is, but I have no idea what it has to do with sharing my desktop, and I suspect your average user doesn't even know what UPnP is.

If this option does something useful, either the label text or the tooltip, or maybe both, should make it obvious what it does. Otherwise it should be removed, perhaps in favor of a more useful option.

I should add that the wording of this option is awkward for native English speakers. I *think* it should be "Configure network to automatically accept connections", and the author is laboring under the delusion that "split infinitives" are to be avoided. See:

http://ling.ed.ac.uk/~gpullum/grammar/splitinf.html

But I can't really tell because I don't know what the option does. Maybe it just configures the network automatically so that other computers can find mine, and I have to check a different box to make my computer automatically accept those connections?
