Missing bacula 3.0.x so clients with newer bacula-fd can't connect

Bug Description

If you have client with bacula-fd 3.0.x version then you can't connect to bacula server on Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS because of some incompatibility.

Those clients are eg. 10.04, OpenBSD and all others with newer bacula-fd.

Can't find clean description if it's a problem to install package directly from Lucid as there will be some packages in LTS upgraded with packages from Lucid and some new installed. Is this a reason that only version 2.4.4 was backported?
