Group_By: Can make a group by with a related field

We can't make a 'group_by' with a related field, Example, order_partner_id on the sale.order.line

Currently group_by only supports Many2one and date & datetime type.

Hi John,

Yess, you can definately group related fields of type many2one, date, datetime.
for more information you can refer Human Resourse module. we have group by on manager, department which in
turn are related fields of type many2one.
