Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

This bug is present on the 10.04 alpha, but was not present on 9.10. When gnome-power-manager is set to display an icon in the notification area of the panel, the icon periodically disappears and reappears. Each time the icon reappears it takes a few extra pixels of space (vertical space on a vertical panel, horizontal space on a horizontal panel), eventually consuming all of the available space on the panel and pushing everything out of view.
