Bug Description
Hello, this is a usability bug, or a papercut that may confuse new Linix users.
If a person decides to use the manual partitioning option in ubuquity during a live session, the 800x600 default screen size is not large enough to display the buttons used to proceed to the next steps. See screenshot attached.
Possible Solution #1
Allow the new nouveau drivers to use the maximum screen size resolution possible in the live sessions. Currently only 800x600 and 640x480 is available in a live session.
Possible Solution #2
Provide a way to inform new users about using "Alt + drag window" feature to move windows up either during or before using ubiquity.
Possible Solution #3
Find a way to have Ubiquity appear above the panels. Using the metacity right click option "Always On Top" can demonstrate this.
Thank you.
James
Currently using Ubuntu daily build 01-Mar-2010 (Lucid Alpha3),
Nvidia 8400GS graphics, nouveau open-source drivers

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.
- This is a hardware specific problem , not a papercut. /wiki.ubuntu. com/PaperCut.

Don't worry though, this bug has been marked as "Invalid" only in the papercuts project.
