PowerPC installer crashed

Kubuntu 6.06 Installer Crashed on iBook 12-inch.

Error message as follow:

I had the same problem and solved:

- install the 5.10 Ubuntu;
- change the apt sources;
- do a dist-upgrade with the 6.06 CD-ROM or by Internet;
- to solve problems with X, change again the apt sources to do an upgrade.

So it is working fine, but I had a lot of work to do it.

Danilo, please file a seperate bug report with your problem and make sure you include the information Carthik asked for. What you are suggesting is more of a workaround, than a solution. Thanks.

There's a reasonable chance that that this bug has been fixed, although without log files I cannot be sure. AstonKwok, if you can reproduce this bug with Kubuntu 6.06.1, please reopen this bug and attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman. Anyone else, please file a new bug.
