Bug Description

Binary package hint: konsole

since my upgrade to Dapper, KDE's Konsole won't save changes and only display transparency in the first tab

PS: I already removed this files and even reinstalled "konsole"

- ~/.kde/share/apps/konsole/
- .kde/share/config/konsole*

Please verify if Konsole still won't save schema changes by going:
Open up a new konsole.
Set schema to transparent: Settings -> Schema -> Transparent Konsole
"Settings -> Save as Default".

You should now be able to open new tabs that will be transparent.

Same problem as initially described, except the color is now black.
I think it's just because of the other base-color.

PS: sorry for the wrong selection of "Edgy", it's in fact Dapper for me too

Actually, this bug is existing for a pretty long time. See Bug 35760. It still exists with Kubuntu LTS 6.06.1 with KDE 3.5.4

Don't ask me why but I had this bug too. I just deinstalled all "scim" stuff and it worked again. Seems to be kind of dark magic.

sudo aptitude remove scim-qtimm
And now everything works fine. Thanks hunt0r ;)
