Bug Description

Hello, I have Ubuntu 6.06 for AMD64, and I use the nvidia graphic driver.
When I use the Update Manager to update my packages, and click on the description button to see what has changed, after a second, the screen becomes black with a lot of colorful lines at the bottom, and Gnome brings me back to the main login screen. This is only happening to some packages, like when there are updates for the "login" package.

I have seen the same behavior in 6.06 running on an Athlon XP 3200+ (not AMD64) and the NVIDIA drivers. I have not found any logs or files with any traceback or other information on this error.

I don't. But the problem is already fixed since I upgraded to Edgy.
