Bug Description

The instalation of desktop and alternative amd64 iso versions can not be done.

I have an asus m2n sli (nvidia 570 chipset and an amd64 3800x2 socket am2)

Both versions seems to stop either on acpi or when the ps2 mouse is initialised, moreover I tried to install the normal x86 desktop version but again the same problem.

On the other hand the slax livecd boots and everything seems to working fine.

It may not be a solution, but I've found that using the kernel parameter "noacpi" prevents this problem, though my installation stopped within seconds of booting if I forgot it.

Would you be able to test installation with the edgy beta release please?

Is this an Asus M2N32-SLI motherboard? If so, try the latest BIOS: http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socketAM2/M2N32-SLI%20Deluxe/M2N32SLI0706.zip

I'm happily running Edgy amd64 on this motherboard with the mentioned BIOS.
