Bug Description

The login wallpaper does not change with gdm2setup. I tried using jpg, png, bmp files, files in my home dir & files in /usr/share/images/xsplash but nothing worked. The image thumbnails are displayed but when I click ok the image is not changed from the default.

I'm using ubuntu 9.10 with 2.6.31-20 kernel. I have the latest gdm2setup, but about shows I have version 0.3.5 .

Hi Growlf,

I have just the same Problem here ein Lucid (64bit-system) in Lucid Lynx with kernel 2.6.32-16-generic.

I just installed your nice app and wanted to change the background.

I can choose the new Wallpaper from the list. But if I pres the button "OK", the Wallpaper is not changed at all.

Waht can I do to make this little app work in Lucid??

Greetings

I have rhe same Bug here on a 64bit-System of Ubuntu 10.04.

I also installed the latest version 0.5.0.

My current kernel is the 2.6.32-16-generic.

After installing your nice little app, I tried to change the background. It was possible to select the new image from the list (I had copied several new Images to /usr/share/backgrounds via Terminal before). After selecting the Image from the list, i pressed the button "OK". But nothing happend.

the Wallpaper remaind the same as before.

What is going wrong, or what can i do to make this work??

Greetings
