I've just download Lucid Lynx 9.10 Alpha 3 Desktop iso, and started it as Live CD.
So without any change AT ALL on my config/default applications, I can't launch Gwibber. I think you've all the details my that report, but I also try to launch it from a shell, and it told me:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ gwibber

There's also a problem with desktopcouch-service, which crash with Gwibber !

I checked the MD5 SUM of the 10.04 iso image twice, it's ok.
I'm using a VirtualBox OSE 3.0.8 with 512 Mo RAM.

Sorry for my bad english !

Your issue is very similar to bug 5216993, maybe a duplicate report. Please could you try to reproduce this issue using latest version of gwibber daily and check is still affecting you? Thanks in advance!
