Bug Description
When a new window is open, what appears to happen is:
a) the window is drawn immediately
b) the window is removed
c) the window is redrawn using the appropriate compiz affect
In the video attached, I'm using scribus, but the same effect happens with other Qt apps. As you can see, on selecting the file menu, the menu appears, then disappears, then slowly fades in (via compiz setting that I set to be quite high to emphasis the problem)
I was looking for a work around (ie to turn the compiz affect of for all Qt windows, but I couldn't work out how to do that ...
thanks

Thanks for your bug report. Is this still an issue with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal? May you please check and comment back? Thanks in advance!.
