Bug Description
When selecting surveys as type, it's confusing to have multiple elements
in the different projects, e.g. 2 elements for ATLAS, KIDS, VIKING and VVV.
What does the category 'Area (Union)' mean in that sense?

This is because some surveys are composed of several sub regions, and I decided to treat them as 2 elements. The Area is the total area of the union of the footprints of all sub-regions, i.e. the survey area.
Note that it is possible to define the surveys as a single non-connex region, but this is will prevent users to compare results for just on sub-region. If it's OK we can change that.
