Please sync mlt 0.5.2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).

version 0.5 of MLT is now available.

Its recommended for kdenlive 0.7.7 and should be updated in the lucid repository as well.
The only other mlt dependent package that I know of is openshot. Openshot uses the same version of mlt as kdenlive.

We can sync mlt 0.5.0-3 (once the freeze exception is granted), because Debian has accepted our changes.

have tested this and created a short Openshot DVD from a .flv and a .mp4 file. Output was OK. No sound issues.

Installed via synaptic after added ppa - each component marked individually to upgrade - see attachment for components marked to be upgraded and the results from the upgrade.

Also started openshot from command line. No obvious output from mlt.

Looks good - hope this makes it into lucid.

i also wanted Kdenlive updated to version 0.7.7.1 please - its just a miner bug fix we need the bugs in it gone it is the best video editor not PiTiVi which is too basic.

Also something is wrong with the codec RecordMyDesktop uses and I have to trans-code in PiTiVi or VLC to fix the video output before I can edit it in Kdenlive... this bug is still ongoing too.. so my life as a screencaster is twice as hard in Lucid Lynx but I have been putting up with the bugs for weeks since I started using Alpha 3 as my Main OS so I could make videos about it to promote it early
