This was an incompatibility between kubuntu-firefox-installer and the ruby bindings in kde 4.4. I've backported the version from 10.04 that contained the same fix. It should appear as an update for PPA users within the hour.

Thanks. That's fast. There still seems to be a dependency problem. (detected by aptitude, not apt-get)
