Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

the flash plugin on 9.10 64 bit does not register simple touchpad clicks. otherwise, the touchpad works fine. but, with this issue, one cannot use a lot of flash content online.

for example, look at this embedded youtube video: http://www.planetdamage.com/2010/02/13/collateral-damage-nootropik-roman-porno/

one cannot watch it, as one needs to click on the play icon. but when clicking on the play icon, it get highlighted, but no click is registered, and thus playing doesn't start.

but it gets worse. look at the nvidia site / area selection screen: http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php - one cannot select any region, as no click is resgistered - thus, one cannot look at the nvidia site

interestingly, youtube videos on the youtube site work fine, as long as playing starts automatically (without the need to click). but all embedded video fails.

is this a bug that only I'm witnessing. actually it's quite pervasive, I can't use any interactive flash content online.

the same issue is found when using both firefox and google chrome - so it must be something with the flash plugin..

this seems to be a dupliace of this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/410407

for some reason I'm unable to use the 'mark as duplicate' feature, it will not accept the bug number for the bug above
