Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

The g-p-m instance that runs at gdm time has some undesirable defaults set. Specifically the lid_ac setting:

lid_ac = suspend

Is it really a reasonable default to suspend when (closing the lid while) on AC? When on battery, sure, but on AC?

I think this should be set to "blank" likely.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
