Bug Description

Binary package hint: smbfs

When using umount.cifs to unmount a volume it does not remove the unmounted volume from /etc/mtab. I ran it with -v ang to the following output:

user@host:~$ umount.cifs -v mnt/
optind 2 unmount dir mnt/
ioctl returned 0 with errno 0 Success
umount2 succeeded
attempting to remove from mtab
0 matching entries in mount table
done updating tmp file

I think the bug is in samba-3.0.22/source/client/umount.cifs.c on line 191 and line 209.

Thanks for your bug report.

I cannot reproduce this on either dapper nor feisty. Is this still happening?

Thanks
