Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.10 Evolution 2.28.1.

I have the play sounds and Display a notification ticked in both General Preferences and plug-ins in Evolution.

The sounds play once in a while when they seem to feel like it and the notification never displays. (Bubble)

Is this a know issue? Or is there a general fix?

Thanks in advance. Bob.

Then it's no fixed I guess.

I am at a loss as to why there are features that do not work.

If they don't work shouldn't they be removed?

Is someone working on this?

Bob.

The "display in panel" when new mail is received stopped working during Ubuntu 9.10 - I was hoping it would be fixed in 10.04 but no luck. My Evo is 2.28.3

The "beep" has changed from an inaudible ting to a very loud "boom" - I spend my time adjusting the volume so that I can hear video/audio playback and not be deafened when I get an email.

If I'm out of the room, I have to switch to my email program to see if anything has come in - trivial I know, but it is a nuisance.

I am not sure why no one will even address this.

In the latest UBUNTU magazine there is an article talking about the notification bubble and how great it is and how much hard work went into it's development.

Ya?????????

I'll bet to someone close to the project could fix this in a snap.
