I was trying to install KUbuntu 9.10 on a partition that previously contained Kubuntu 7.1 and now is formatted. Boot loader previously was able to select between Win Vista and Kubuntu. I've just installed Windows 7 over my ex-Vista partition and now I was installing Kubuntu 9.10 over the old Kubuntu.
There are no syslog and partman files in /var/log on the targeted partition.
The version: KUbuntu 9.10 i386
