Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnucash

Sometime between the last time I used gnucash (February 8) and today, it has started responding very slowly to keypresses in (at least) the register. I can see it maxing out the CPU if I leave top running and start typing a formula into an amount column.

It seems to also be dropping and transposing keypresses.

This is even weirder... even the autocomplete is having extra characters added to it now?

I have a category Expenses:Discretionary:Dining & Entertainment.

I typed Ex:Dis:Din and press Tab.

I'm asked if I want to create a new category "Dinning & Entertainment" -- two 'n's. There's literally no way that I can see that would happen just by way of a funny key stream...

Might be related to bug #523949 -- the problem I mentioned with autocomplete is particularly weird since this "Dinning" seems to be part of my autocomplete history even if I type slowly.

Downgrading libgtk and friends solved the problem. Marking dup. Sorry.
