Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Mozilla has a contract with Google for the default search in Firefox. Doesn't switching the default search for new installs and upgrades in Ubuntu equate to forking the Firefox code where the new package can't be redistributed under the name Firefox? It's great Canonical have found a way to subsidise Ubuntu with this Yahoo Search/Microsoft contract but as one of the many people annoyed my default search engine has been replaced with a honk of rubbish it would have been nice if I didn't have to change my default search engine every time I use or create a different browser profile.
