If user dont have avatar image notifications should show protocol icon

When some friend sends IM to me I get notification. But this notification does not has any icon. It would be nice to have some kind of Empaty icon displayed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 525189

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Omer: it's best to explain all your actions in bug reports (even if its blatantly obvious). In this case it would be best to see if the OP wanted a default icon when there wasn't one present on his/her buddy list. If this is the case then make sure it gets upstream (pending a search for duplicates). If this is a problem with notifications, move it to notify-osd.

sorry for marking this invalid as this was changed from a papercut to empathy(upstream) so I marked it invalid and did not had a thorough view on the bug report that time. Now I tried and reproduced it in empathy, and this is an empathy issue as I reproduced this with both gnome-notifications and notify-osd. Thanks Brian

This came from upstream:
"I don't see any reason to display the protocol here. We should be coherent and always use the same icon to represent a contact without avatar."

The upstream response invalidates this bug but validates Bug #535596, so I recommend stop considering 535596 a duplicate.
