firefox crashes on many web pages

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

After installing recent security updates for Firefox, when attempt to open many web pages, such as http://www.sciencedaily.com, Firefox crashes. I have disabled all plugins (at least, I have tried to disable all of them), but it does not seem to help.

BTW, why am I getting this:
Reading symbols from /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.8/firefox...(no debugging symbols found)...done.
while I have firefox-3.5-dbg installed. It looks like the debug package lacks of debug information...

It looks like the problem disappeared after rebooting the laptop...
